Recomp App

Privacy Policy

Last updated 29 August 2026

This policy explains how we collect, use, hold and disclose your personal information, and how you can access it, correct it or complain about how we have handled it. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). It is written in plain English on purpose, because the people who read it are coaches, not lawyers.

Who we are

This website, recompapp.au, is operated by Recomp App Pty Ltd (ABN 27 688 239 116), an Australian private company registered in Queensland. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" refer to Recomp App Pty Ltd.

The Recomp App product itself is not released yet. Right now this site does two things: it lets coaches join our free coaching community, and it lets you contact us. This policy covers both.

It also covers the personal information we already hold. Coaches signed up to our waitlist through this same domain, and we still hold those records. Everything in this policy applies to them in the same way it applies to anything you send us today.

What we collect

We only collect what our forms actually ask for, plus a small amount of technical information about your visit.

When you join the coaching community

  • Your first name, last name and email address.

If you answer our follow-up questions about your coaching business

  • Your name and email address.
  • Whether you coach solo or run a team of coaches.
  • Roughly how many clients you have.
  • The biggest problem in your business, in your own words.
  • The tools and software you currently use to run your coaching.

When you use the contact form

  • Your first name, last name and email address.
  • Your phone number, if you choose to give it. It is optional.
  • The message you write to us.

If you joined the waitlist on this domain

  • Your name and email address.
  • Whether you coach solo or run a team of coaches.
  • Roughly how many clients you have.
  • The biggest problem in your business, in your own words.
  • The tools and software you told us you use.
  • Whether you agreed to marketing email, the campaign attribution described below, and the date you signed up.

Automatically, when you submit a form

  • Campaign attribution attached to the link you arrived on, being the UTM parameters (source, medium, campaign and content) in the web address.
  • The web address of the page that referred you to us, if there was one.
  • Which version of the form you filled in.

Automatically, while you browse

  • Information collected by the Meta Pixel, described under "Cookies and tracking" below. This includes the pages you view on this site, your device and browser type, and your IP address, from which an approximate location can be worked out.
  • Standard server records held by our hosting provider when your browser requests a page, such as your IP address and the time of the request.

You can browse the whole site without giving us your name or email. If you never submit a form, we never receive your contact details.

We do not ask for sensitive information as defined by the Privacy Act, such as health or medical details. Please do not send us any in the message box.

Why we collect it

We collect and use your personal information to:

  • Give you access to our free coaching community and let you know when live workshops and Q&A calls are on.
  • Email you about Recomp App, including product updates and news about the launch.
  • Answer the enquiries you send us.
  • Understand what coaches actually struggle with, so we build the right product.
  • Understand which marketing channels and campaigns bring coaches to the site, so we spend our advertising budget sensibly.
  • Operate, secure and improve the site itself.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use it for purposes unrelated to the ones above without asking you first.

Your consent

Giving us your details is voluntary, and you choose whether to fill in a form. When you join the community you are consenting to us emailing you about Recomp App and the community, which is what the form tells you at the point you submit it. If you would rather not hear from us, do not join, or unsubscribe once you have.

If you do not give us your name and email we cannot add you to the community or reply to your enquiry, because those are the only details we have to reach you with.

Who we share it with

We are a small operation and we use third party services to run this site rather than building everything ourselves. Your information passes through or is held by the following, and no others:

  • Vercel, which hosts this website and runs the code that receives your form submission.
  • Supabase, the database service that holds the waitlist records collected on this domain. The database itself sits on servers in Sydney, Australia, and only our own server can read or write to it.
  • n8n, the automation service we use to pass your submission from the website to our CRM.
  • GoHighLevel, the customer relationship management (CRM) platform where your contact record is stored and from which our emails to you are sent.
  • Skool, the platform that hosts the coaching community itself, described in the next section.
  • Meta Platforms, which receives information about your visit through the Meta Pixel, described under "Cookies and tracking" below.

We may also disclose your information where we are required or permitted to by law. We do not disclose it to anyone else.

If a submission cannot be delivered to our CRM because something has broken, a copy is kept in our own error records so the enquiry is not simply lost and we can still get back to you.

The community is hosted on Skool

Our coaching community is free and open, and it runs on Skool (skool.com), a platform operated from the United States. The community is not a waitlist. You apply, you answer Skool's short set of joining questions, and you are approved.

When you follow our link to Skool you are leaving this site. The profile you create, the joining questions you answer and everything you post inside the community are collected and held by Skool under Skool's own privacy policy and terms, not this one. We can see what members post and the answers given at joining, in the same way any community owner can. If you want your Skool account or its content removed, that request goes to Skool, though you are welcome to contact us as well and we will help where we can.

Cookies and tracking

This site loads the Meta Pixel, an advertising and remarketing tool provided by Meta Platforms, the company behind Facebook and Instagram. It runs on every page of this site.

The pixel tells Meta that a browser has viewed a page here, and it records a "Lead" event when someone completes one of our forms. It sets cookies in your browser and sends Meta technical information about your visit, including your IP address, your device and browser, and the page you are on. We use it to measure whether our advertising works and to show ads about Recomp App to people who have visited this site. Meta may also use that information for its own purposes under its own privacy policy.

We do not run Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager or any other analytics product on this site, and the Meta Pixel is the only third party tracker we load.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, use your browser's tracking protection, or adjust your ad settings inside your Facebook or Instagram account. Blocking the pixel does not stop you using this site, and no part of the site depends on it.

Overseas disclosure

Most of the services named above are operated from, or store data in, the United States. That includes Vercel, GoHighLevel, Skool and Meta Platforms. When you submit a form or simply browse this site, your personal information is disclosed to, and held on servers in, the United States and possibly other countries those providers operate in.

There are two exceptions worth naming. The automation step is run by us. And our Supabase database is hosted in Sydney, so the waitlist records themselves are stored in Australia rather than overseas. Supabase is nonetheless a United States company, so we treat its access to that database as an overseas disclosure too.

We take reasonable steps to use providers with proper security practices, but overseas recipients are not bound by the Australian Privacy Principles in the same way that we are, and Australian privacy law may not be enforceable against them. By using this site and submitting your details, you consent to that overseas disclosure.

How your information is held and protected

Your information is held in the systems listed above. We take reasonable steps to protect it from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. That includes sending everything over encrypted connections, restricting access to our CRM to the people who need it, protecting the automation step between the website and the CRM with a shared secret so nothing anonymous can push data into it, and keeping the waitlist database behind a private server key so it can never be read from a visitor's browser.

No system connected to the internet is completely secure. If a data breach happens that is likely to cause you serious harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as required by the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.

How long we keep it

We keep your contact details and the answers you give us for as long as we need them for the purposes described above, which in practice means for as long as you are part of the community or in contact with us, and for a reasonable period afterwards. We have not set a fixed number of years. That includes the waitlist records described above, which stay in our database until you ask us to remove them or we no longer need them.

You can ask us to delete your information at any time and we will do so, unless we are required by law to keep it. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete it or de-identify it.

Marketing and opting out

Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes you off our marketing list. You can also opt out at any time by emailing us at admin@recompapp.io, and we will action the request promptly. Leaving our email list does not remove you from the Skool community, and leaving the Skool community does not remove you from our email list; tell us if you want both.

Access and correction

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is wrong, out of date or incomplete. Email the address below. We will respond within a reasonable period, normally within 30 days, and we will not charge you for making the request. We may need to verify who you are before we hand anything over.

Complaints

If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, contact us first at admin@recompapp.io with the details of your concern. We will acknowledge your complaint, investigate it and respond to you, normally within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC). Their complaints process and contact details are at www.oaic.gov.au.

How to contact us

For any privacy question, request or complaint, email us at admin@recompapp.io. If this policy changes, we will publish the updated version on this page with a new date at the top.
